| Prerequisites: | - Minimum age 18 - Certified diver for a minimum of 6 months. - Provide proof of 100 logged dives completed in a number of different environments with varying depths. - Be certified as a SDI Divemaster, SDI Assistant Instructor, or equivalent. - Provide proof of current First Response Adult and Child Emergency Care Provider and Oxygen Administration Provider certification or equivalent. - Must be able to answer “No” to all questions on the medical statement - Must get "fit for diving" clearance from a doctor, before the course starts |
Please Note:
- The course will start between 7:30 and 9:00AM at the dive shop and finish at approximately 15:00-17:00PM each day. Please plan accordingly.
- The Instructor Candidate has 6 months from the completion of the IDC to attend an Instructor Examination Course.
- A minimum of 100 hours is required for the entire course; 40 hours from the divemaster or assistant instructor course may be credited at the discretion of the instructor trainer or Course Director. Fifty hours of training must occur under the direct supervision of a current SDI Instructor Trainer or Course Director.
- Training is offered in English! Online training materials are available in many languages.
- Training is purchased, certification is earned, no refunds will be given if you cannot meet the training requirements.
