The Advanced Nitrox course is considered the official transition phase from recreational to technical diving. This course examines the use of EAN-21 through 100 percent oxygen for optimal mixes to a depth of 40 Metres/130 Feet.

The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN-21 through 100 percent oxygen for dives not requiring staged decompression. TDI Decompression Procedures or the Intro to Tech may be combined with this course.

Prerequisites: Minimum certification of TDI Nitrox Diver, or equivalent. Good Buoyancy and basic diveskills.
Proof of 25 logged open water dives, preferable more.

Sidmount Diver certified, at Piranha Divers this course is offered on Sidemount only.

Must be able to answer “No” to all questions on the medical statement.

Minimum age is 18. Dive Insurance is strongly recommended.
Pro Tip: Have a few spare days available, in case additional training is needed or if the weather is not cooperating.

Please Note:

  • Course will start between 8:30 and 9:00AM at the dive shop and finish at approximately 15:00-17:00PM each day. Please plan accordingly.
  • Training is offered in English! Online training materials are available in many languages.
  • Training is purchased, certification is earned, no refunds will be given if you cannot meet the training requirements.

  • Sidemount Diver + Advanced Nitrox = 5 Days.
  • Sidemount Diver + Adv. Nx + Deco Procedures = 7 Days.
