Become an SDI Equipment Specialist and learn how to not only overcome common everyday problems with equipment but to also manage basic repairs and adjustments. During this course you will learn about routine recommended care, from correctly storing your equipment investments and performing basic maintenance. You will discover how your gear functions through hands-on demonstrations and also be introduced to other types of equipment.

This course is designed to give a more in depth look at how of dive equipment works. It will cover general repairs and maintenance of various types of exposure suits, BCD’s, regulators, and other accessories.

Course Duration: 1 Day - Workshop Training
Class Size: 1-4 Students per Instructor
What's included: Learning Materials, Certification Card, Required Dive Gear
Prerequisites: Equipment Specialist:
SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent.

Minimum age is 18, 10 with parental consent. At Piranha Divers we prefer that children and teenagers under the age of 16 are joined by a parent or legal guardian.

Please Note:

  1. The course will typically start at 9:00AM at the dive shop and finish at approximately 4:30PM each day. Please plan accordingly.
  2. Training is offered in English, while online training materials are available in many languages, participants are required to communicate in English.
  3. Training is purchased, certification is earned, no refunds will be given if you cannot meet the training requirements.
  4. Although not required, it is recommended that participants have their personal gear on hand to learn.
