Diving around Minna Jima is known for its exceptionally clear water and bright white sandy seabed, offering visibility that often exceeds 30 meters. The area features gentle conditions and vibrant coral gardens, making it suitable for both beginner and experienced divers. Schools of tropical fish, including butterflyfish and damselfish, are commonly seen, along with occasional sightings of sea turtles. The dive sites are typically shallow to moderate in depth, allowing for relaxed, longer dives with plenty of natural light. Thanks to its proximity to the main island, Minna Jima is a popular destination for boat diving trips from Okinawa’s west coast.
