Kerama Islands

kerama islands okinawa, japan

Unfortunately, we do not offer trips to the Kerama Islands.

Maybe one of our other dive sites is interesting.

The Kerama islands are beautiful in their own right, but they’re particularly popular for two activities: whale watching in winter when humpbacks migrate this way; and diving. The popularity of both is justified, and at Piranha Divers Okinawa, we now offer exciting dive tours of the islands.

The islands, home to 248 species of corals which are protected by the Ramsar Convention, are some of the most spectacular reefs in Asia. Such diversity allows divers to swim amongst some of the most magnificent marine life of all kinds. The often used epithet ‘paradise’ is completely appropriate when referring to the Kerama Islands.

There are way too many dive sites on the islands to list a detailed explanation here, and no two days of diving will be the same. A 60 – 90 minute boat ride is all it takes to access the first dive site of the day. We offer two or three dives per trip.
