All about PADI's e-learning program.
What is e-Learning?
The PADI e-Learning program provides you with the knowledge development portion needed before commencing in your PADI Course. Learning to scuba dive requires both knowledge development (facts, principles, etc.) and in water training (skills and techniques).
After enrolling in PADI’s e-Learning system, you are presented with an interactive presentation that includes video, audio and visual graphics and text based information. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress as you learn. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.
Why choose e-Learning?
You can study in your own time and at your own pace, from anywhere in the world.
As a traveller you don’t want to be lugging heavy training books around, so all content is available digitally.
Spend more time on the beach, not in the classroom.
Course content is available in many languages, online and offline.
How does e-Learning with Piranha Divers work?
You will need to sign-up with PADI e-Learning and complete the Academic section of your course online. Time needed to complete the course online can vary between each course, the PADI Open Water Diver Course for example takes approximately 12-15 hours to complete. The e-Learning fee is approximately 20,000 Yen, this is paid to the PADI e-Learning website when you sign-up for the course. When you arrive for your course we will deduct that 20,000 Yen from the original course fee. (You may pay the fee to PADI in a different currency, we just deduct in Japanese Yen)
Before you sign up for e-Learning please confirm your course schedule with us!
It would be ideal that you complete the e-Learning program before beginning your course.
